Cachito Bids
Cachito – also known as Dudo, Perudo and Liar’s Dice – is a game that is gaining popularity around the world, and more recently on the Internet.
One way for players to keep ahead in a game of Cachito is to make sure that they are familiar with the various bidding terms. Bear in mind that since Cachito is played in many different countries in the world – and not just South America – the bidding terms my differ from region to region. The following basic terms, however, are well known in Cachito circles, especially when they are used within the framework of the online Cachito community:
Aced: This bidding term is used to explain a situation when a player has three aces. In a Cachito game, the ace (number one) acts the part of the Joker and as such, special rules apply to situations where aces are present.
Blues: This bidding term is often used during Cachito tournaments – both online and offline. Essentially, when it is called by a player, it will automatically change the previous call to an ace call.
Dogspangle: At the beginning of the 20th Century, a famous Cachito player named Dogspangle coined several terms during championship matches. The term “Aced” (as seen above) was one of his more famous terms. The bidding term, ‘dogspangle’ means that the player’s first maneuver is a double six on the dice.
Advanced Dogspangle: This bid used in a Cachito game is identical to a simple dogspangle bid, except that the player’s starting bid is a triple 6 on the dice.
Jaydee: Another Cachito player who termed phrases and terms in the game was Jaydee Jaipiveedy. A certain bid used often by Jaipideevy involved opening the game with a single 2. The logic behind this move was to act as a deterrent to open a bid. The bid was eventually named Jaydee in this player’s honor.
Teknarav: Named after another famous Cachito player, Beanise Teknarav, this bid immediately switches from low numbers to high numbers in a game.
One way to familiarize yourself with the Cachito is to download free software onto your computer and learn the rules and strategies by playing against others from all over the world or watching others at play. As you get to understand Cachito, you will notice that as the game progresses, players proceed with bids or challenges as the bidding rounds progress.
